'A Refusal to Mourn the Death, by Fire, of a Child in London’ written by Dylan Thomas

interpreted by Drew

re-uploaded HD version here

Credits are really fast, I did not want them to be as long as the video.

  1. Wow! Very well done. I had chills after I saw your video. Your vocals were so well done, the deepness of your voice, and the rising and falling of the volume of your voice really fit in well with the dark tone of the poem. Your use of imagery was also very well done, it really helped me understand the poem better. And by adding that music over top of your vocals really helped set the tone of the poem. I think you did a great job on this video and really helped bring across the idea that the author of the poem was trying to get across.

  2. I'd have to say the same: "WOW!" Good job, you created alot of powerful emotion with this film and I enjoyed watching it. The changes in volume in your voice and the music was just right and the pictures you chose matched well. I'm impressed. It would have taken me a long time to figure out the meanings in this poem but your pictures made it very clear.

It made it even darker than read alone. The music was done excellent, timed well with the reading. The credits weren't too fast! I think you understood your poem and showed it with great detail in your images."

  10. It sounds as if this the author has experienced an tragedy (like n Armageddon) to the first degree. You definitely captured that through your imagery and tone. Along with the music, giving it a feel as if hes lost something very dear to him, and its ruined!
